Justice Matovu Formally Hands Over to New Family Division Head

Outgoing Head of Makindye-based Family Division, Hon. Justice David Matovu, formally handed over to incoming Head of Division, Hon. Justice John Eudes Keitirima.
Hon. Justice Matovu who will be moving to Mukono as Head of Circuit thanked the Principal Judge and the Chief Registrar for always deploying committed Judges and Deputy Registrars who are team players.
Reminiscing about his journey at the Division which started in 2017, as Deputy Head, the Judge noted that this was briefly interrupted when he was transferred to Fort Portal in 2019. Judge Matovu said this was short-lived because the following year, he was my redeployed to the Division, as its Head.
He said he was happy to leave the Division at a time when it is delivering justice in a timely manner.
As a way of appreciating his service at the Division, the staff organized a mini-send off where they handed him an artistic picture and cut cake. "This is a good gesture from you that shows we have been working as a team," Hon. Justice Matovu told the staff.
This evening, a dinner has been held at Le Chateau Restaurant in Nsambya to bid farewell to the Judges who have been transferred from the Division and to also welcome the Judges.
